Hi, I am Lusha!
I am from Guangzhou, China. After I received my BA degree in Industrial design at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, where my work included furniture, lamp design, product design, photography, book design and ceramics, I am currently pursuing an MFA in Products of Design at the School of Visual Arts. I have always maintained a great passion for design, and have won recognition in various international design competitions. I have five patents in my name, and was the only Chinese student invited to display in Milano Salone in 2012. During university, I was invited to Japan, North Europe and the US to exchange ideas about design.
I am interested in design rooted in Chinese culture, and in changing the perception of Chinese products from “Made in China” to “Created in China.” I am interested in finding ways to integrate art, function, user requirements and business models to transform research, concept, design, products and marketing into a mature industry chain.
