Picture over Window

This is a plant container integrating traditional Chinese window frame into the reused mineral water bottles. To refresh the past memory with an environmentally-friendly touch, this design enables reminiscence of standing by the window and overlooking the picturesque yard.

People living at present times miss the past when people slowed down their paces and enjoyed the natural beauty over the windows. Nowadays, bottles have been used on a daily basis but usually been neglected.

The combination of the old and modern has conveyed a sense of environmental protection.

People living at present times miss the past when people slowed down their paces and enjoyed the natural beauty over the windows. Nowadays, bottles have been used on a daily basis but usually been neglected.

In ancient China, people like to watch sceneries through landscape window frame. Such a slow life has been forgotten by the modern people, but it triggered my nostalgia.

I designed a flower receptacle container by combining the traditional Chinese window frame elements with the abandoned mineral water bottle. Using the method    of environmental protection , it depicted a scene that just like transforming to the previous life , a man was looking at the picturesque courtyard through the window.

How to use:

1.Prepare a used bottle.
2.Screw the bottle into the socket.
3.Put in the bottle some plants or flowers.
4.Hang up the frame with a rope or a wire;
hence a vase rich in Zen.
